Sparklines fit in a single cell yet express data relationships. For example, a sparkline might tell a doctor how a patient’s glucose level or respiration changes each day. For a meteorologist, a sparkline might express daily changes in temperature or barometric pressure.

Pages for the iPad is a simple way to create documents; just because it’s simple doesn’t mean you can’t create professional looking documents. Pages even comes with templates to make professional documents with little effort—unfortunately, the templates are limited; if you want to get the most from Pages, then you need to understand how to find and use the advance features of Pages.

This book is broken into three parts. The first part is about the basic features of Pages: what they do and when to use them.
