I'm almost 100 pages into The Finkler Question, but I'm still not really enjoying it. It seemed to get some good reviews and I thought it might be OK, but I'm beginning to doubt that now. Has anyone else read this? Is it worth sticking with?

Fifty more pages read and I have decided to give up. Same themes come up again and again with no explanation of them for those of us who are not already familiar with all of them. I was looking forward to this book but it is one of the very few that are going back on the bookshelf with little intention of coming back to finish it.

Usually when I begin to read any book first of all I pay attention to it's content and if after about 50 pages it's not clinging I stop it.

I'm sad to hear this ... I've got it waiting on my shelf! I'll still give it a go at some point, I can't say I'm overly enthusiastic about it. I had a feeling it might be one of those books you can't get your teeth into.
